Services

At NTP, we walk alongside women, children and families in the Goldfields to provide support that is practical, culturally safe and community-led. From intensive family support to healing programs, from safe spaces to peer support, every service we deliver is shaped by the needs of our community and guided by the legacy of those who built NTP.

Our programs focus on strengthening families, promoting healing, and building resilience — ensuring that every person we work with feels seen, supported and empowered.

  • NTP delivers the Intensive Family Support Service (IFSS) program in the Goldfields. This state-wide service supports Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal families who are experiencing disadvantage, complex challenges, and trauma, including intergenerational trauma.

The program provides intensive in-home support, helping families build parenting and living skills to improve wellbeing and safety.

    Referrals may include:

    • Where child safety concerns exist, working to keep children safely at home.

    • Where children are in care, supporting safe reunification with their families.

IFSS services are delivered by an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO), or in partnership with an ACCO. Supports include practical parenting education and skill development for parents and pre-birth families, focusing on daily living, child mental health, education, safety, and protective skills.

Funded by the Department of Communities

  • Funded by the Department of Communities through the Aboriginal Family Safety Grant Program

The Strong Women, Strong Girls Program supports girls and women who have witnessed or experienced family and domestic violence (FDV). It provides a safe space to process experiences, recognise strengths, and begin healing.

The program is guided by local Elders, women, and girls, and incorporates healing activities on country. Designed for cultural safety, it enables participants to share, learn, and grow together. Activities focus on increasing resilience, confidence, self-esteem, and physical, emotional, and cultural wellbeing.

The program is delivered in two parts:

    • Strong Girls

    • Strong Women

Delivery occurs both in schools and through referrals from Mara Pirni Healing Place.

  • NTP has been funded by the Department of Communities to undertake a twelve month consultation process to understand the local need for an Indigenous Healing Service (IHS) for children impacted by child sexual abuse in the Goldfields.   Indigenous Healing Services provide healing, support, counselling and therapeutic responses to children and young people and their families affected by child sexual abuse/and or domestic violence.   HIS assists children and young people to recover from harmful impacts of child sexual abuse/and or family and domestic violence and assists families and communities to support children and young people in the healing process.

  • If you are concerned about your own or a loved one’s alcohol or drug use, NTP’s Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Peer Support Worker can help.

This role works in partnership with the Goldfields Community Alcohol and Drug Service team to provide culturally safe support, connecting individuals and families to practical assistance and pathways to recovery.
